Phyllostachys angusta (stone bamboo)

Culms are quite straight and upright. Good for hedges. Produces very hard, strong wood which is used in China to make fine furniture. Shoots are notably free of acrid flavor, even when raw. One of the best species for edible shoot production.

We can only ship bamboo plants up to 5-7′ tall. Additionally, depending on the stage of growth of the plants, often in late June when new growth hardens off, we can offer taller sizes for local pickup or delivery.

If we receive an order for taller sizes without an e-mail about pickup or delivery, we will ship 5-7′ tall plants and issue a refund for the difference.
