This easy-to-grow all-purpose Peach is a popular choice in colder regions, noted for its high yields, and cold-hardiness. Perfectly luscious, high-quality fruits have yellow flesh, and virtually no fuzz. Vigorously growing, it may require pruning and thinning. Attracts bees and butterflies. Pink flowers in spring give way to medium-sized, dark, attractive red/yellow fruit. Firm flesh is very sweet. Fruits set July to August. 2-3 harvests give a staggered fruit set. Ideal eaten fresh, or can be used for canning or freezing. Disease-resistant to leaf spot. Introduced in 1930, in South Haven, Michigan.
Self-pollinating. Full sun. Tolerates clay, loamy, or sandy soils. Requires at least 6 hours of sun and good drainage.
