Phyllostachys nuda (snow bamboo)

One of the more cold-hardy bamboo species; reputed to be outstandingly cold hardy, but needs protection from cold winds. Shoots are considered to be exceptionally good for eating, among the very best of the Phyllostachys species in quality. The wood is not of high quality, as compared with that of other species, but the culms are straight and useful for many purposes.

We can only ship bamboo plants up to 5-7′ tall. Additionally, depending on the stage of growth of the plants, often in late June when new growth hardens off, we can offer taller sizes for local pickup or delivery.

If we receive an order for taller sizes without an e-mail about pickup or delivery, we will ship 5-7′ tall plants and issue a refund for the difference.
