This prized variety is highly nutritious, known also as Wolfberry, this plant has unique deep orange fruit, which is praised for being loaded with nutrients, including ample amounts of protein (all the amino acids!), minerals, and antioxidants; additionally, reputed as having higher carotene levels than a carrot! This well-known medicinal can be trained on a trellis, up to 10′, or pruned into a small shrub 6-8′. Delicate flowers are lavender bell-shaped and bloom in May and throughout summer. Fruit production starts within a few years. Self-fertile, drought-resistant. 5-8 hours of light is best.
